Stephen Schoonover
Expertise: Human capital management
Stephen Schoonover, M.D. joined Salary.com in December 2007 as Vice President of HCM Consulting Practice. For the past twenty-five years, Dr. Schoonover has designed and implemented performance development systems.

He pioneered the development of a competency-based leadership framework and has delivered competency consulting engagements for a variety of leading Fortune 100 companies. Dr. Schoonover is an authority on the successful implementation of competency-driven human capital management and published several key studies, including Competency-Based HR Applications: Results of a Comprehensive Study in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management and Arthur Andersen; a study for the Society for Human Resource Management on human resource competencies “Human Resource Competencies for the Year 2000: The Wake Up Call” published by SHRM and its companion piece, Human Resource Competencies for the Year 2000: A Professional’s Toolkit for Performance Development. Dr. Schoonover is a board-certified psychiatrist and a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He was on the academic faculty at Harvard Medical School for over 15 years, taught in Harvard’s department of psychology and currently teaches courses at Kellogg School of Management.

Doug Crisman

Douglas W. Crisman joined Salary.com in August 2007 as part of the ITG Competency Group acquisition, and now serves as a Vice President of Salary.com and General Manager of competency business. Mr. Crisman was the President and sole owner of ITG from 2006 to August 2007. In 2001, Mr. Crisman founded Oldhorses, Inc., a consulting firm assisting business owners in growing their businesses. From 2000 to 2001, he was the Chief Operating Officer of the e-commerce group of the American Arbitration Association, a dispute resolution organization. Mr. Crisman holds a B.A. in Management and Data Processing from Boise State University. He currently sits on the Executive Committee for SIM New Jersey and the Board of Directors for Glen Wild Lake Association, and is a member of Vistage International and ACG International.

Ashley Wheaton

A co-founder and Director of InfoBasis (acquired by Salary.com in August 2008), Ashley has driven the company's strategic direction since his appointment as CEO in 2003.

The result has been rapid and continued growth in an emerging market, with the company doubling revenue every year for the last 3 years. Ashley has over 15 years' experience within the Training and Development field and is absolutely firm in his belief that technology needs be a far more powerful enabler within the entire employee development process. He has been working with skills assessment technology for over 10 years, and led the first global skills assessment implementation at Microsoft, where he was Director of Microsoft's Global Learning Services division. Ashley has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from London University.

Joseph Kilmartin

Joseph Kilmartin has over 30 years of compensation experience in consulting and corporate environments.

Joe Kilmartin is the Managing Director of Compensation Consulting at Salary.com. In that role, he provides leadership and direction on all client compensation consulting assignments. Joe has over 30 years of experience as a compensation practitioner, working for consulting firms and for corporations. Joe was a senior consultant for one of the world's largest human resources consulting firms, working in that firm's Boston, Philadelphia, and San Juan offices. During his consulting career, he has consulted in virtually all segments of industry including banks and other financial services organizations, hospitals and other healthcare providers, insurance companies, manufacturers, pharmaceutical firms, colleges and universities, utilities, not-for-profits, and government agencies. Joe has also held human resources executive and senior management positions at Wang Laboratories, GMAC Residential, and Danka Office Imaging. Joe is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) and is the recipient of the WorldatWork Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition to being a member of that organization, Joe is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
