Arthur Comings

In a long career as a writer and editor, Arthur Comings has produced everything from online reviews and mass-market magazine articles to detailed technical manuals. He has written for Sierra magazine, the Trust for Public Land, and the East Bay Express in the San Francisco Bay Area, and international software firms like Autodesk, MicroPro, and Finder Graphics. Most recently, Comings spent a dozen years as a senior technical writer at Fair Isaac, producers of the industry-standard Fico score.

Comings earned a journalism degree at San Diego State University and a teaching credential at UC Berkeley. He is also a recognized sculptor who shows regularly in galleries and museums up and down the West Coast. He writes art reviews for examiner.com, and contributes to NerdWallet's Personal Financial Management blog, where he also tackles retirement issues.
