12 Tips for Getting Other People to Do Your Work for You

Don’t let a "we’re out of toilet cleaner, so I’m going to go play instead" excuse happen to you. Establish that part of a chore's duty is to communicate supply needs, and that the time to do this is before the laundry hamper establishes a pungent presence.

Take a blank piece of paper. Write "Household Supplies" at the top. You might want to add a second "Groceries" list while you’re at it -- also blank unless you're already out of milk again. Before putting supplies away, ask each member of Team Family to be sure there is enough for next time and to write down anything that needs replacement.
