How to Become an Instructor - Biology

Two years’ college level teaching experience in the relevant subject matter; demonstrated experience with technology as a teaching tool (for example Vernier or Biopac system); knowledge of the National Science Education Standards, the AAC&U Project Kaleidoscope or a similar STEM initiative; and ability to teach courses in anatomy and physiology-related biological sciences (human biology, pharmacology or pathology) is preferred.

Full-time faculty member with less than a full load may be assigned to teach a course that was originally assigned to an adjunct instructor.

The position of Adjunct Instructor is part-time, non-benefitted, and employed on a course-by-course basis without any obligation or promise of continued future employment and are provided competitive compensation.
