Band 3 Salary from $29.74 - $31.83 per hour, plus casual loading and super
Junior rates will apply under the age of 21 years
This position will work at Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre and across the City of Ballarat Seasonal Outdoor Pools (open approximately Oct-March) providing lifeguarding services. Responsible for the supervision of aquatic users and ensuring their safety, this position will also require some cleaning and general administration duties. Through high levels of customer service and communication this position will enhance the aquatic experience of the people of Ballarat.
Key Selection Criteria
Hold a current Statement of Attainment with the SISSS00133 – Pool Lifeguard skill set or willingness to attain.
Hold a current Statement of Attainment with the HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 – Provide first aid skill set or willingness to attain.
Experience in Lifeguard duties preferred but not required
Understanding appropriate response and action to emergency and/or first aid incidents.
Demonstrated understanding of reporting and responding to hazards and issues of safety in a swimming pool environment.
Current Employee Working with Children Check if over 18 years of age.
Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
Roster flexibility (Hours are between 5am – 9:15pm weekdays & 5am – 6:15pm weekends).
