Due to growth in our business, City to Sea Landscapes are seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener with a broad range of hard and soft landscapes experience to join our team. This is a full-time position within our business, with an earnings range of between $74,000 and $80,000.

The Landscape Gardener role is an integral part of our landscaping team. The role is responsible for all maintenance, landscaping and playground installation/upkeep on the childcare centre sites we work with.

Common tasks of the Landscape Gardener include layout of the site from plans, updating of plans and the installation or renovation of all landscaping and playground elements and gardens maintenance.

Your previous experience delivering a wide range of landscaping elements will be essential to deliver our high level of quality installations. You will be skilled in reading and using plans to establish required materials for each job and installing landscaping to plan specifications, as well as skills such as concreting, tiling, paving, planting, turf installation (both synthetic and real), irrigation installation, drainage, shade sail preparation for installation, garden beds, ground prep and wet pour rubber installation. Some specialist skills such as wet pour rubber we can provide training in.

The role is very hands-on and will require you to be motivated, fit and enthusiastic to work in a close team. It is important you are a team player and an excellent communicator.

You will be required at times to travel to complete jobs based in the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas.

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate/supply proof of:

• Broad hard and soft landscaping knowledge and gardening experience
• Consistent previous employment, preferably in similar roles
• Ability to work within a childcare centre and represent our company in a professional and appropriate manner
• Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude
• Initiative, reliability and an eye for detail
• A flexible approach to work
• Physically fit
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Current driver's license – manual preferred
• Relevant landscaping qualifications of a minimum Cert III level and at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a landscaping role
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
• 2 recent contactable referees
