Farm Hand

Godolphin is the largest thoroughbred breeding and racing entity in the world, encompassing seven countries and two hemispheres.

Godolphin has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Farm Hand to join the team at our Woodlands Stud Farm in Denman, NSW. Reporting to the Assistant Farm Manager, the role involves working across all areas of the farm, assisting in pasture maintenance, feeding and raising of livestock and general farming operations. The successful applicant should be a driven individual with attention to detail, a positive attitude, good work ethic and willing to go above and beyond in their role.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake routine pasture maintenance operations and activities such as fertilising, topping, cutting, and bailing.
• Operate and monitor irrigation system including repositioning and basic maintenance.
• Farm machinery operation including tillage, sowing, spraying and harvesting.
• Perform routine and periodic maintenance and repair of fencing, buildings, machinery, irrigation units and other equipment
• Provide daily care of cattle including feed and water, movements, injury recognition and general animal husbandry.

Desirable:

• Previous experience within the farming industry
• Chemical accreditation
• Current Drivers licence
