Golding is currently seeking Civil Site Engineers for current and upcoming civil works on a Tier 1 Mine in the Northern Bowen Basin 2hrs west of Mackay.


The successful candidate will be required to deliver project engineering works effectively to meet agreed scope, timeframe, budget, quality and safety standards. Reporting to the Project Manager the successful incumbent will possess tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, supported by experience in a civil contractor and or mining environment.


  • Rosters will operate on a 9 day on | 5 day off basis.
  • Camp accommodation and meals will be provided.
  • This is a permanent full-time opportunity with Golding.
  • Return flights from Brisbane will be included


Key role tasks:

  • Plan, design, document and manage construction activities and processes;
  • Implement and monitor the project program in respect to engineering services;
  • Manage and monitor resources for the project;
  • Develop and foster effective and regular communication with the Project Team including suppliers and clients;
  • Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management and Safety Management Plans and other relevant standards and legislation;
  • Complete reporting requirements for financial, operating and survey needs of the site;
  • Comply with Golding’s health and safety requirements and promote and work environment which represents this behaviour.


Key capability requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field are essential;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing work to budgets;
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) demonstrating the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders and clients;
  • Ability to develop and maintain a safe workplace and environment for employees, contractors and visitors;
  • Strong level of computer skills, including Microsoft, Primavera and AutoCAD applications;
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote cohesive teamwork;
  • Personal flexibility to operate in a dynamic work environment.
