Your new company
Our client is a global competitor within the Defence Industry and they are currently seeking a Logistics Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. Located in Western Sydney they support naval platforms within Defence and their technical services; this role will sit within a manufacturing setting.
Your new role
As Logistics Team Leader you will be joining their Production and Repair Team and supporting the industrial centre of competence on a continuous production environment. You will be accountable for:
Team coordination
Coordinating the team's 6 step Kaizen methods
Monitoring the field indicators defined with logistics manager
Managing and handling parts, components, materials and subassemblies in the warehouse to supply the Autonomous Production or Repair Unit
Validating Inventory Information
Performing warehouse acceptance and physical and logical incoming and outgoing operations and formally recording those in ERP system
Managing warehouse for finished products and spare parts for customer support (inward and outward transactions, inventories)
What you'll need to succeed
Be able to obtain Defence NV1 clearances
Knowledge of Production and Repair processes
Knowledge of industrial management control and multi-year budget process
Knowledge of supply chain roles
Knowledge of inventory management and flow management methodology
