MARITIME SECTOR | 12 MONTH CONTRACT | EXTENSION OPTIONS AVAILABLE
This national agency is responsible for ensuring the safety of vessels in Australian waters by enforcing regulations related to ship construction, equipment, and crew. They work to prevent and combat pollution from ships, protect the marine environment, and provide infrastructure for safe navigation. Additionally, they maintain a national search and rescue service for maritime and aviation sectors and manage Australia’s international maritime obligations.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for all incident reports received, under legislative and other requirements including the verification of the severity classification of incidents.
Maintain and create incident database records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Code incidents using the Occurrence Framework to reflect what happened in the incident as a key input into identifying safety trends and issues.
Monitor, assist and oversee responses to incidents and associated communications and ensure that this is reflected in the incident records.
Extract and assist with the analysis of incident data in combination with inspection and investigation data from various systems.
Experience required:
Proven attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data, preferably in the Maritime sector or similar domain.
Experience managing incident reports, maintaining incident database records.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
