Role Overview:
The Head of Sales will be a strategic leader responsible for driving the company’s sales strategy, with a strong emphasis on new product development and expanding our presence in global big-box retailers. This role requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a deep understanding of the luxury market, extensive experience in sales leadership, and the ability to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in both domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence, particularly focusing on global big-box retailers.
New Product Development:
Collaborate closely with the product development team to ensure new products align with market demand and customer needs. Play a key role in launching new products and driving their success in the marketplace.
Big-Box Retailer Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with major big-box retailers globally. Negotiate terms, manage key accounts, and drive sales growth within these channels.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a culture of high performance.
Market Expansion:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both existing and emerging markets. Leverage relationships with big-box retailers to expand footprint.
Sales Operations:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales department, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure the sales process is efficient and effective.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on brand positioning, product offerings, and go-to-market strategies.
Budget Management:
Manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
Performance Analysis:
Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a focus on new product development and global big-box retailers.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, particularly in big-box retail channels.
Strong understanding of the luxury market, customer behavior, and product development processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
