The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Service Supervisor to join our team at our Fairfield Branch in NSW.
This role plays a pivotal part in managing service-related tasks, overseeing day-to-day Workshop operations, maintaining a positive workplace culture, and building strong team moral, as well as ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Whilst this position is not hands-on in nature, you will need to have a strong understanding of Machinery and Heavy Diesel mechanics to mentor and lead our apprentices in the workshop.
The Workshop Supervisor will work closely with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team to uphold our safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll uphold legal, ethical, and safety standards through compliant people management, ethical governance, HSE prioritization, and responsible financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategies to reduce rework and improve overall service quality.
- Ensure timely invoicing of Work in Progress (WIP) and manage WIP write-offs.
- Looking at training and development opportunities for team members.
- Driving team collaboration and ensuring an encouraging and positive work culture
- Facilitate timely completion of estimations and quotes to enhance customer experience.
- Champion safe work practices, aiming for a zero-harm environment.
- Oversee service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strive for excellence.

What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a workshop or service supervisor / manager position.
- Previous industry experience in the mining / construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Have sound communication skills both written and oral
- Proven leadership, interpersonal and team building skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to HSE standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Understanding of financial management principles.
- A trade qualified background is advantageous.
