Accountant role in a growing industry specialised firm


Newpoint Advisory (NA) provides financial analysis, restructuring & turnaround and formal insolvency services to the property and construction industries. Our engagements are an appealing opportunity to motivated individuals looking for:

  • Exposure to large deals/transactions involving well-known financiers and developers in the multi-$Billion property development sector
  • Opportunities to work on engagements involving decision makers from Australia’s leading property financiers and development groups
  • Challenging engagements involving the selling, developing, operating, investigating and advising on large scale, $100m multi-strata developments 
  • Provide technical, financial modelling and commercial skills involving formal appointments or advisory engagements 
  • Specialised and sought after developer IA, Builder Financial Reviews (BFR), forensic investigations and property restructuring services.

We have opportunities in newly created roles in Sydney and Melbourne for insolvency experienced Analysts and Senior Analysts interested in developing financial and commercial acumen in all things property & insolvency.   


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Marketing: interpersonal skills and an eye for opportunities
  • Key role supporting management run formal receivership and voluntary administration appointments
  • Workflow will generally include:

     - Analysis of historical financials, structure and management of business.

     - Financial modelling, forensic analysis and investigations.

     - Statutory compliance. 

     - Financial capability for property developments.

     - Present findings and engage with clients.


Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • 1-5 years of professional insolvency experience (less where additional accounting or financial management experience can be proven). 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Commenced or intending to commence CA/CPA qualifications.
  • Proficient written and verbal communications skills.
  • Efficient with an ability to take ownership of matters and coordinate multiple work streams 
  • Property and construction industry experience would be a bonus. Comfort in this sector non-negotiable.
