Off-Coil Machine Opperator

We have an immediate requirement for off-coil machine operators with experience in reinforced steel manufacturing

Now Careers has an immediate need for experienced off-coil machine operators within the reinforced steel industry. Based in St Marys you will join a fast paced, dynamic team that is a leader in the production of reo steel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-start checks, safe operation of automatic high-speed machines such as off coil machines, automatic shearlines and various bending machines.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting pre-start checks on all equipment and machinery before it is used.
• Machine Programming.
• Operating machinery including MEP, Schnell, Robo master, shearline
• Reporting any faults to your Manager or Supervisor immediately.
• Checking the tag(s) provided on the bundle(s) are correct before producing to ensure efficiencies & productivity.
• Ensuring all tags are scanned after the bundle(s), pallet(s), and bin(s) are loaded
• Operating all machines and using any relevant equipment in a safe manner as stated in the SOP.
• Operate overhead gantry crane to remove and load product on machinery when required.
• Reading and understanding the delivery preparation & load large/ longest bundles first when required.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience operating off-coil steel machines.
• Commitment to working 9 hour day or afternoon shifts.
• Good communication skills and team work.
• Be motivated to make a career with a leading manufacturing supplier.
• Experience working in the steel reinforcement industry will be highly regarded.
• Have full working rights in Australia.
