State Operations Manager

Your New Opportunity:

Are you a seasoned leader with previous experience in a heavy industrial environment, and have a passion for driving operational excellence? We are seeking a State Operations Manager to lead and manage our plant operations in Erskine Park and Newcastle, ensuring that production targets are safely and efficiently achieved. In this role, you will be a visible leader, driving cultural change, operational improvements, and employee engagement while meeting financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety systems and regulations.
• Implement long-term business strategies and drive continuous improvement across state operations.
• Oversee cost-effective procurement and plant performance, focusing on efficiency and quality.
• Introduce and maintain Lean Manufacturing practices to optimise processes and productivity.
• Lead and develop teams through effective people management and communication.
• Ensure all staff training is current and manage compliance with environmental and safety licenses.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in multi-site heavy industrial production environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a focus on driving and leading change.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and manage complexity with limited resources.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Solid background in safety management and operational cost control.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Commitment to producing quality products and continuously improving processes.
