Shift Electrician

The Opportunity:

Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our manufacturing plant in O’Connor.  You will be part of our reliability team, supporting production of a busy plant, working night shift.

Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Be reactive to breakdowns minimising downtime.
• Carry out routine checks and planned preventative maintenance to maintain productivity of machines.
• Assist in mechanical/electrical fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs.
• PLC experience with Siemens and or Allen Bradley.
• Update and maintain data records on works carried out.
• Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures in Environmental, Health and Safety
  

What you will bring to the team:

• Trade Qualified Electrician.
• Minimum 2 years industrial background and experience.
• PLC experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Great work ethic with the ability to work autonomously or part of a team.
• Adhere and maintain OHS policies and procedures
