The Western region of the United States healthcare system has a huge variety of data points in relation to compensation. To compare surrounding states in the Western region, Salary.com is inviting you to participate in a healthcare compensation survey that will help produce relevant and up-to-date insights and data about the industry. The results that you obtain from completing this can help improve your compensation strategy and point you in the right direction regarding new hires.
By participating in the healthcare compensation survey, you will receive many benefits including:
The pay data offered by participating in this healthcare compensation survey covers over 500 healthcare-specific and 560 benchmark job titles. You have the opportunity to compare surrounding states in the West region, as well as the specific local metros to assess your target markets. You can also filter reports by industry, organizational size, and more.
The healthcare compensation survey produces data associated with highly competitive job families. Insights available include special pay data per diem, PRN, differentials, on-call, call-back, as well as critical and preceptor pay. Other insights include industry-specific breakouts, bed size, teaching status, gross and net revenue, and more.
By region, we offer pay practice data on pay increase budgets, range adjustments, turnover, call-back pay, post-employment practices, reward systems, etc. Benefits data is also offered, in regard to eligibility, waiting period, paid time off, flex benefits, medical, dental, vision, life retirement, voluntary, and more.
You will be in contact with leading experts in total rewards with more than 30 years of compensation survey experience. All entries into the healthcare compensation survey will be reviewed thoroughly by experienced compensation analysts to ensure accuracy. The survey is also designed to be simple to complete, with our experts streamlining the process through an easy-to-use online interface.
Complimentary live survey support is also available from survey experts. The tools to directly compare your data to the market are provided to you with instructions also available. All of this is done in strict adherence to Department of Justice Antitrust Guidelines.
Participants receive a significant discount on results pricing through your state association. Additional discounts are available for multiple products and you can also receive a discount if you agree to participate for multiple years. Other offers are available, as well as system-level pricing.
Once data has passed the 90-day threshold for Department of Justice compliance, it will be published with an effective date. New participants to the survey are added to the results, and they will be published on a quarterly basis.
The healthcare compensation survey is open all year to make updates as needed. This allows for the most up-to-date market comparisons. Zach Day, Director of Survey Management at Salary.com, notes:
“If right now is not a good time for you to participate in this study, you can sign up to participate in the study at any point in the year and still receive the same great benefits.”
The healthcare compensation survey has several sections for participation. Each section will require you to fill out information about your organization and its compensation plan. From this, data can be generated and compared with hundreds of other responses in the database.
Here are the sections that you need to complete:
In this section, you will provide the contact information of the person filling out the survey. This section will also require you to answer any questions about the submission process.
Pay practices include topics such as pay programs, recruitment turnover, and reward systems. Input your information in relation to these topics for every pay strategy in your organization.
This section will require you to enter each benefit plan offered to your employee groups. If you only have one benefit plan, then roll all employees under that plan.
You will need to enter each medical plan that is offered to your employee groups here. If you only offer one medical plan type, then roll all employees under that plan.
Download and save our spreadsheet template to complete this portion of the survey. If you haven’t participated in the past, your last survey submission job matches will be available in the pre-populated spreadsheet version.
Once you complete the healthcare compensation survey, you can begin to analyze the results. Two of the main ways you can view results are as standard job reports or as custom job reports. Here is the difference between the two:
Standard job reports include every piece of data collected in the study. This means that all the information is able to be viewed, which can give you an overall picture of each component and its results. The standard job reports are available to be downloaded in CVS or PDF format.
Custom job reports allow you to specifically search for components. This means that you can really dive into the specific information that you wish to analyze. Whether you wish to look at job families, locations, specific jobs, or more, this section may be beneficial to you as you can hyperfocus your research into a specific area.
