Akkodis is partnered with a leading investment management firm to recruit an Intermediate Project Manager. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day execution support for multiple programs and/or projects of high complexity and ensuring they are adhering to project management delivery methodologies, gating methodologies, and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, and work hours to keep everything on track.
Manage budgets and expenditures exceeding $10 million.
Ensure project/program governance and reporting are on point.
Develop and coordinate materials for project status meetings, leadership committees, and executive steering committees.
Support project managers in meetings—chairing when needed, taking minutes, and tracking action items.
Prepare executive-level PowerPoint presentations to support project managers.
Monitor, follow-up, and organize project and program change requests.
Build and maintain a Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies Log at the project/program level.
Manage small work packages and enhancements, supporting your growth toward a project manager role.
Ensure projects adhere to delivery methodology and gating processes.
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
Keep project timekeeping, financials, and resourcing plans current across company systems.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in a project management environment, either as a team member or in a support role.
Strong financial management skills, including estimation, budget tracking, forecasts, and accruals.
Proficient in data management and analysis to create value-added outputs.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business tools and applications for report development.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information effectively to senior management.
A continuous learner who quickly masters new concepts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Microsoft Project Online.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of Project Management methods, practices, processes, scheduling software, and SharePoint.
CAPM – Certified Associate in Project Management.
