Our client, a manufacturing company based in Burlington is seeking a Cost Analyst to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, review, analyze, reconcile, and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, including costing, inventory, yields, labor, and expense reports, in alignment with Plant Management, company policies, and GAAP standards.
Manage the new product setup process within ERP and other related systems, including reporting functions.
Assist and support plant management with various initiatives by conducting ongoing analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Aid plant management in analyzing variances between actual and standard costs, including discrepancies related to finished goods, products, and raw materials.
Complete production-related journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and conduct month-end analysis. Assist with product and raw material counts and audits.
Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), standard instructions, and product costings in the ERP system.
Provide backup support and relief for the finance team and handle other ad hoc projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or degree in accounting or finance, with current pursuit of a CPA designation.
Two years of experience in cost accounting and cost reconciliation within a manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with financial and operational ERP systems, preferably AS400.
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office and intermediate to expert-level knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and linkage.
