Operations Assistant / Clerk

Main Duties

  • Assign trucks to load for delivery and pick-up for various customers, trouble shoot changes to plans and work with customers.
  • Assist with inspection of shipments, scanning documents and taking pics for customers.
  • Ability to use pallet jack, or forklift operator.
  • Closely monitor on-time movement of all incoming / outgoing customer loads.
  • Make pick-up/delivery appointment as needed.
  • Communicate plans clearly with Dispatch and Drivers.
  • Monitor vehicles in GeoTab.
  • Complete New Hire packages / orientation / uniforms
  • Communicate proactively with customers to provide updates on move dates, times, and any changes to the plan.
  • Ordering equipment from suppliers, book hotels for out-of-town work / ordering supplies for office and warehouse.

Education and Skills Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Text
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Analytical skills and Detail oriented
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift Operator / some warehouse knowledge for operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:
