About the Role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Operational Technology Support, you’ll bring your knowledge and skills with managing Operating Systems and Applications to the ATCO Electric Operational Technology Infrastructure team.  You’ll possess the desired interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment and have strong verbal communication skills.

In this hands-on entry-level role, you’ll be evaluating and mitigating cyber security risk via patch management, providing physical and electronic access to your fellow colleagues and performing proactive health checks on ATCO Electric’s Operational Technology assets.

What You’ll Do: 

• Evaluate Cyber Security risk and mitigate through Patch Management.
• Perform Identity Access Management with respect to Physical and Electronic access.
• Proactively perform system maintenance activities to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Perform troubleshooting and take corrective action.

What You Bring:

• Diploma in Computer Systems Technology, Computer Engineering Technology or Network Engineering Technology) from a recognized technical institute; a university degree from a recognized university in a computer science or computer engineering related field would be an asset

Two years of experience in three or more of the following areas: 

• Installation, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of cyber security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEMs, etc.
• Structured programming in higher level languages, such as “C”, python and shell scripting Working with and administering a variety of operating system including Windows and Linux with an emphasis on working with command line programs 
• Installing, upgrading, maintaining and troubleshooting Intel x86/x64 based workstations and servers 
• Administering and maintaining a SCADA/EMS application or process control software 
• TCP/IP network administration including installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Cisco network equipment (switches, routers and firewalls) and Windows and Linux based network hosts.
