Part-time Sales Associate (Friday-Sunday) (8-12 hours a week)

THIS POSITION IS SEASONAL FOR 12 WEEKS MAX.

Baggins Shoes is a local independent Victoria-based business that is known worldwide for innovative fashion footwear! Founded by Glen Lynch in 1969 we have recently celebrated our 53rd business year. We carry the largest selection of Converse, Dr. Martens, and Vans in the world and offer custom-printed shoes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Associate to join our Retail Team. We currently have 1 vacancy. This position is a seasonal position ending in September-October 2024. This is perfect for a student or someone needing a bit of extra cash. Shifts on average would be mid-day coverage for peak business hours on weekends, however longer shifts may be necessarily to assist with business needs. In September/October more hours will be available if desired.

Duties and Accountabilities

Duties include but are not limited to;

• Customer service, help create a welcome atmosphere by promoting Brand Image and following Brand Service Strategy.
• Maximize every customer interaction, building relationships to ensure return custom and customer satisfaction through service excellence.
• Listen and advise customers on products that suit their needs.
• Provide information, features, and benefits of products through sound knowledge and understanding of our Brands and Styles.
• Promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction at all times.
• Working with a team to drive sales and achieve store weekly, quarterly and annual goals.
• Cash handling, processing custom shoe sales, and completing all sales through POS Systems.
• Stock management Compliance with Inventory Control Processes, stock movements, return and exchange process, etc.
• Maintaining store security procedures.
• Maintaining Brand merchandising standards across the store.
• Take direction from management to complete other daily duties as required.
• Communicate openly with the team and other departments to ensure service and standards are the priority across the Retail Store.

Pay: From $17.40 per hour
