Pipe Layer/Labourer

Banks Contracting is a growing company looking to hire responsible, hard working, dedicated employees. We’re currently looking to bring on a pipe layer/skilled labourer. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.

The ideal candidate must be able to follow direction, complete physical tasks: raking, shoveling, lifting and work well both independently and as part of a team.

This role is also responsible for packing up tools, cleaning and preparing the work area, and keeping the worksite tidy.

• Experience in construction or related field is a plus

You will be responsible for:

• Loading and unloading building materials and equipment as needed
• Working independently, as well as part of a team
• Completing work within specifications
• Maintaining all tools and equipment in good working order
• Rigging pipe for hoisting and installing all types of pipe
• Preparing and grading trenches, installing Manholes and Catch Basins
• Preparing the site to eliminate potential hazards
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the site

Qualifications:

• Experience working in shored trenches installing various pipe types
• Safety knowledge and experience in construction industry
• First aid is considered an asset
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
