What You’ll Do:

As an Accounting Analyst, you will undertake a diverse range of accounting duties within our global organization. This multifaceted role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle and assist with accounts receivable management.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with both new and existing vendors, while managing transactions and vendor onboarding.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of supplier account reconciliations, pre-paid and amortization analysis.
  • Responsible for auditing and processing banking transactions.
  • Contribute to weekly cash flow reports and analyzing accounts payable data.
  • Handle sales tax reconciliations and prepare tax remittances, with a focus on analyzing provincial sales tax accounts.
  • Manage the corporate purchasing card program, ensuring both timely payments and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain, reconcile, and analyze financial data, including balance sheet items.
  • Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations across sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
  • Process high-volume batch computer check runs and electronic funds transfers (EFT) payments.
  • Ability to provide input and recommendations for process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency with an automation mindset.
  • Provide backup and support for various accounting and administrative functions as needed.
  • Participate in additional projects and perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

What you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and/or an equivalent degree.
  • 2 – 3 years of related Accounts Payable experience, combined with 2-4 years progressive experience within a finance team environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Canada and US sales tax rules and GAAP rules of accounting is required.
  • Multi platform computer experience is required; Excel, SAP, and familiarity with NetSuite and/or other ERP financial systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills, e.g., Mass data manipulations, pivot tables & reporting, advanced conditional formatting, VLOOKUP, formulas, Macros etc.
  • Effective communication (oral and written), presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • As a proactive, critical thinker and creative problem solver, you have strong prioritization skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; you love to learn and contribute within a fun team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, organization, and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
