Brake Press Operator

Brandt is currently seeking a Machine Operator for our Saskatoon Manufacturing Facility. This position is responsible for efficient operation of CNC cutting machines including plasma and laser as well as the operator related maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Program simple cuts on the Machine
• Efficiently operate and maintain plasma and laser cutting equipment
• Ensure production schedule for machine is adhered to
• Report any programming /software issues immediately to supervisor and/or programmer
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area up to Brandt standards
• Must be available to work various shifts as workload requires
• Work overtime as required
• Ensure machine is in optimal working condition at all times.
• Achieve efficient flow of materials into and out of the machine
• Follow the PM Schedule as defines by the manufacturer

• Ability to read drawings / blueprints
• Must be able to work in a steel fabrication shop environment
• Must be able to work independently
• Fluent in English
• Familiar with 5S / lean principles
• Motivated to learn and improve
• Positive attitude with an attitude for problem solving
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Experience operating CNC plate and tube cutting equipment in a metal fabrication plant.
• Preference to Trumpf and Messer equipment.
