TECHNICAL WRITER OPPORTUNITY
INTERVIEW PROCESS

· Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (37.5 hr/week) some projects may require overtime
THE PROJECT
This position requires a technical writer with advanced Microsoft Word experience and basic SharePoint skills. The successful candidate will fill a position to support the NA Collections Document Control team by fulfilling change requests and following established Document Control procedures to develop and edit procedures, process documents, and customer-facing letters. Responsibilities also include managing the SharePoint based review and approval workflow for these documents.
Project includes but is not limited to:
· Developing and editing new and existing documentation
· Managing review and approval workflows using SharePoint tools
· Working with internal and external teams to develop documentation
KEY SKILLS
· Advanced skills in Microsoft products: Applicant must have extensive experience using advanced features of Word and SharePoint, such as styles, creating templates and forms, creating bookmarks and hyperlinks, developing fields, and using review features.
· Advanced English writing and editing skills; ability to proofread and implement perfect grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
· Strong keyboarding skills, with the ability to type 60 to 90 words per minute.
· Basic SharePoint skills
· Experience in at least one programming language is a plus.
· French fluency is a plus for Canadian-based documents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Two to four years’ technical writing experience
· Bachelor’s degree required: Technical Communications or Technical Writing degree is ideal; an English degree is acceptable.
· Experience working for a financial institution or in procedure writing is preferred
NOTES
· The position requires advanced Microsoft Word skills.
· The position requires basic SharePoint experience.
· Only candidates with a college degree will be considered.
· Candidate must be detail orientated and exhibit exceptional accuracy.
· Candidate must have experience and feel comfortable working with senior managers, officers, lawyers, and subject matter experts to obtain content information and facilitate reviews and approvals.
· Candidate must be able to manage time and priorities, working independently and asking for direction when appropriate.
