Cambria College is a quickly growing private post-secondary institution offering programs in the Health, Business, Hospitality and Community Services sectors. Designated with the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) and in operations since 2005, Cambria College meets and exceeds all required standards ensuring our students are receiving the most up-to-date training in the province.

Our Surrey campus is recruiting for a Campus Administrator to perform a variety of administrative, reception, and clerical tasks. As the first point of contact for the campus, the Campus Administrator's key role is to welcome prospective students to the campus, answering phones and emails, and most importantly managing student records in alignment with all regulatory standards of our governing bodies.

This is a regular full-time position, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation

Start Date: July 2, 2024

Required:

A minimum post-secondary diploma/certificate

Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Professional appearance and sense of humour

Excellent computer literacy

Experience with GSuite and/or Microsoft Office

Experience utilization software databases (ERP/CRMs) is an asset

Experience in the education sector is an asset

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Greet students and prospective students in a welcoming and helpful manner
  • Actively listen to student/prospect needs and direct their inquiries appropriately, both on the phone and in-person
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for staff
  • Respond and communicate online, via telephone, and in-person providing accurate admissions information
  • Student file creation, maintenance, and closing
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company software and systems to compile reports and disseminate data.
  • Maintain and archive of student records
  • Inventory management and ordering
  • Regulatory reporting, T2202A compilation, and reporting
  • Liaison with College Director, vendors, and staff
  • Maintains staff and student confidentiality
  • Any other tasks as required by the Campus Director or management team

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a professional environment
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software
  • Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to navigate computers and software, learn new software quickly
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Resourceful and proactive in dealing with administrative issues
  • Skilled at coordinating telephone system, printer, scanner, copier and fax machine
  • Thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
