Caron is currently recruiting this exciting new position for our Head Office in Sherwood Park. The Operations Administrator reports to Operations Process Manager and provides administrative support to the Operations Department. The Operations Administrator supports the department with a variety of administrative functions, with a focus on the maintenance and management of our learning management system and cross department communications for reporting purposes. This role will also ensure corporate standards for quality and accuracy are followed in all data entry, and all appropriate network and paper filing procedures are upheld and project deadlines are met.

The role:
- Provide support to company managers to ensure operational goals & objectives are maintained
- Become proficient with each operating system, each module within those systems and the interaction between systems
- Assist in overseeing the specific areas of driver and equipment utilization and dispatch operations
- Coordinate and maintain Caron’s corporate equipment including registration, licensing, and permits of Regulatory Compliance at the Provincial, National, and International levels
- Perform support tasks including report preparation regarding equipment utilization and driver or lease operator pay tables
- Track, update, and report on the communication requirements and the vehicle monitoring systems
- Knowledgeable and capable of providing training of the dispatch operating system at each terminal
- Coordinate with the Accounting Department to resolve driver pay and trip reports discrepancies
- Assist Sales Department with rate pay entry and other projects as assigned
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with the Caron QMS and production standards required by the Company and the industry as a whole
- Participate in all safety related, compliance, and regulatory programs and education
Qualifications:
- Administrative Diploma or Certificate
- 2 years office experience
- Intermediate computer skills
- Transportation industry experience is an asset!
