Carpenters Wanted

Carpenters Regional Council Local 1985 is looking for experienced carpenters for work on upcoming projects throughtout Saskatchewan.

Applicants must be current Saskatchewan residents.

The United Brotherhood of Carpenters leads the way in training, educating, and representing the next generation of skilled construction professionals. The UBC places a top priority on developing the total professional: tradespeople who are not only technical experts in their craft, but who also demonstrate effective communication and leadership qualities.

  • This is a physically demanding role requiring bending, lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • You should be familiar with the appropriate tools, supplies and techniques.
  • Ability to follow technical directions.
  • Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance at all times
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and team work.
  • Ability to work independently.

Currently accepting the following levels:

  • Level 2 Apprentice
  • Level 3 Apprentice
  • Level 4 Apprentice
  • Journeyperson

Site requirements:

  • SCOT
  • Rights & Responsibilities
  • Confined Space
  • Fall Protection
  • Criminal Record Checks are a requirement
  • Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol
  • Steel Toed work boots (Some sites require Internal Metguard boots)

Training provided through union hall upon hiring.

Job Type: Full-time/ Seasonal

Salary Range: $31.84-$45.48 per hour (2nd year - Journeyperson)

Living Out Allowance (LOA) $165.00/day
