This is a fast-paced position in a senior leadership role that provides management, leadership, policy implementation, planning and development for the operation, maintenance, and evaluation of public parks for the City of Saskatoon.

The Work you'll be involved in:
- Provides senior leadership to the Parks Department in alignment with corporate values, goals, guiding principles, and management commitments.
- Directs the work of professional and technical staff in all matters relating to planning for future demands on parks and open spaces.
- Provision of leadership in the delivery of comprehensive maintenance programs for the safe, efficient and economical operations of parks, opens spaces and the urban forest.
- Directs and coordinates the preparation and presentation of complex reports and recommendations to City Council and other Committees.
- Prepares, analyzes and administers the annual capital and operating budgets and Business Plan for the Department
- Degree in parks administration, horticulture, commerce, business administration, engineering or related discipline.
- Ten years’ progressively responsible related experience in management, planning, construction and maintenance activities, including at least five years at a Senior Management level.
- Superior leadership, management, administrative and organizational skills, and an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of planning, financial management, business analysis, budget preparation and human resource management.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices essential to the construction, maintenance and operation of parks.
- Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of asset management and project management.
- Knowledge of horticulture, landscaping, entomology and plant pathology.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively introduce organizational change and promote a constructive working environment.

Weekly Hours: 40
Salary Range: $146,576.88 to $172,227.36 CAD per annum (2022 rates)
