Position Overview

This role is for someone who is looking to grow with this store that is undergoing a full rebrand into a premium liquor store. The role of a sales associate at coastal spirits is to provide exemplary customer service through extensive product knowledge and sales training.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the liquor industry is required, or a passion for learning about it
  • Prior sales training valued
  • Be at least 19 years of age
  • Be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with the public
  • Be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Be able to provide excellent customer service and positive customer interactions
  • Be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 20-25 kg boxes
  • Be able to demonstrate aptitude for cashier related duties, including calculations and inventory management
  • Have a valid Serving It Right Certificate (BC)
  • In addition to daytime shifts, be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays; hours of work may vary each week; standard operating hours are 9:00am – 11:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities

· Protect establishment and customers by adhering to sanitation, safety and product control policies

· Comply with product related regulations

· Interact with customers, provide product information

· Stay updated on current product specifications

· Properly display, merchandize and promote current products

· Participating in inventory management, including counts, as needed

· Receiving inventory orders and repacking SKUs from time to time

· Check customers identification and confirm it meets legal age

· Complete transactions by using POS/accepting payment and returning change and/or receipt to client

· Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor

· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently

· Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary

· Documenting incidents in Incident Log on an as needed basis

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
