Reports to: Operation Manager
Summary: The MOA Supervisor - Specialist Department is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) at CRC Health Centre. This role ensures efficient and effective patient flow, maintains high standards of patient care, and supports the administrative functions of the clinic. The MOA Supervisor collaborates with medical staff, management, and other departments to provide a seamless healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of MOAs working in the specialist department.
- Schedule shifts and manage MOA staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Address and resolve any staff issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.
- Operational Support:
- In collaboration with the Operation Manager, oversee daily operations to ensure smooth patient flow and clinic efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Patient Care Coordination:
- Ensure that patients are greeted and assisted promptly and professionally.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation and data entry.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-ups.
- Administrative Duties:
- Manage MOA-related inventory and supplies.
- Order vaccine supplies from the appropriate health authority.
- Provide billing and insurance support for the specialists.
- Quality Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in MOA performance and clinic operations.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes.
- Ensure continuous education and professional development for MOAs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Diploma or certification in Medical Office Administration or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and billing codes.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong empathy and de-escalation skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.
- Work is performed in a clinical setting with frequent patient interactions.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
