Digital Business Specialist

Summary

The Digital Business Specialist is focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large amounts of data in various spreadsheets and databases. This person will manage, update, and enrich various attributes and assets of product data, which are used to create product content for selling products on company’s website(s). The role operates at the convergence point of Sales, Information Technology (IT), and Marketing.

Job Duties

• Creating Bulk and Individual Product Listings for company website(s)
• Cleansing, standardizing & updating data from various sources into the proper data files (mostly MS Excel)
• Listing and enhancing product attributes and assets like product descriptions, photos, and other relevant information on company website(s)
• Reviewing customer search terms on the webstore, and updating the product data to ensure high degree of product discoverability leading to enhanced user experience
• Communicating with vendors to obtain the most up-to-date product information
• Communicating and resolving technical issues with third-party data suppliers, and technology-partners in pursuit of proper functioning of website, and optimize overall website functionality
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of product data by auditing product data for inconsistencies and errors and correcting them
• Working cross functionally with other departments regarding data needs, and resolving data inconsistencies on website
• Ability to follow & improve detailed processes.
• Conduct regular test plans to ensure website quality and efficiency.
• Ensure smooth data flows between CRM, MAP, eCommerce, and other systems.
• Additionally, the Digital Business Specialist will support the integration of data between various systems to achieve optimum connectivity and automation
• This role requires acute attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 Years of experience in the Electrical/Automation wholesale distribution industry preferred
• Post-Secondary education in Business, Engineering, or related qualification
• Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems and current Web standards.
• Experience managing product data
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including key logical, mathematical, date & text functions
