Apply today to this excellent opportunity on our diverse team! #joinourteam What You Will Do: Manages the Tax Reporting function for International Tax matters, including budget & forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The International Tax Reporting function includes surplus calculations, adjusted cost base calculations, T1134, FAPI, Pillar 2 and ASC740. Supports Tax Department initiatives including matters pertaining to cross border financing, cross border allocations, repatriation and corporate structures. Supports Corporate Development Office and Business Unit initiatives including activities relating to divestitures, acquisitions and growth projects. Participates as a subject matter expert on international tax matters within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely, strategic, and reliable advice. Effectively engages with and supports the European Windfarm group, ensuring tax efficient structures, strategic tax planning and providing ad hoc tax advice. Supports the Director, Audit and Dispute Resolution by preparing audit ready files and assisting with international tax audit queries and notices of objection. Provides oversight for and management of tax advisors who provide domestic tax services in our European jurisdictions. Monitors changes in Canadian international tax law and changes in domestic tax law in European jurisdictions. Assesses the impact of changes on the business, participates in drafting comments to government on such changes, and assists with rolling out training and development on changes across the tax group. Identifies and implements opportunities for automation and operational improvement relating to international compliance and reporting tasks. Participates in relevant industry groups and supports activities that represent Enbridge on key initiatives. Assists in the development and delivery of training and development programs for the Enbridge Tax Services Team and information sessions for other internal stakeholders Who You Are: Required: University graduate of Business Administration or a related field. Chartered Professional Accountant Designation Completion of CPA / CICA In-Depth Tax courses, including International Tax Course 10 or more years of relevant tax experience Knowledgeable in USGAAP with particular emphasis on ASC740 Ability to work independently and apply professional judgment to prioritize and manage a demanding workload Confident contributor within multi-disciplinary teams Strong Excel, Word, oral and written communication skills.
