We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic business partner to our Operational Finance Team at FLINT Energy Services LP, providing comprehensive financial support, analysis, and guidance. This is a permanent position based out of Calgary, AB.
What would you be doing?
- Act as a trusted business partner to operations, collaborating closely to understand business needs and provide value-added financial insights.

Develop and present value-added reporting, including utilization metrics and other key performance indicators.

Provide full financial support to operations, including overseeing the month-end cycle, conducting GL analysis, and performing forecast-to-actual variance analysis.

Lead the development of forecasts and budgets in alignment with operational objectives.

Manage and optimize working capital, including ownership of associated DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) metrics.

Play a key role in the proposal process, providing financial expertise and contributing to contract negotiations.

Oversee the implementation and execution of contracts, ensuring financial terms are accurately reflected and adhered to.

Maintain compliance with financial and SOX controls, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data.

Support financial, control, and customer audits, facilitating the audit process and addressing any findings or recommendations.

Lead and mentor a team of Project Accountants, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Handle ad hoc financial projects and analysis as required.

Does this sound like you?

A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA) is required.

Experience in the service industry is considered an asset, particularly in areas such as consulting or professional services.

Proven experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, including SOX compliance.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
