Job Description:
FLINT is seeking a talented Planner/Coordinator to become a valuable addition to our team in Fort Saskatchewan. In this position, your primary responsibility will be to plan, verify, and inspect various small projects. Collaborating with various levels of supervision, you'll ensure that maintenance activities are meticulously planned and executed safely and thoroughly. This involves developing the sequence and lead time to align with the client's forecasted master schedule.
This is a temporary role scheduled to commence in August 2024. The duration of this project will be until April 2025, with the potential for contract extension or permanent placement. What would you be doing?

Take the lead to facilitate the project's effective front-end planning, construction, and turnover phases.

Review RFQ and Project documentation to determine optimal execution sequencing.

You will work with Site Managers and project teams to lead an effective project schedule.
- Coordinate all outside services, monitoring the flow of parts and materials to and from external service providers and suppliers.

Prepare progress reports to provide regular updates on project status.

Provide project cost estimates and cost analysis.

Oversee the progress and productivity of all aspects of the project, with the ability to recognize areas of concern and develop/propose solutions in a time-sensitive manner.

Review contractor schedules and ensure contractor plans are realistic and achievable.

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Define scopes of work (SOW).

Manage vendor relationships.

Liaise with clients for quotes and order follow-ups.

Post-secondary degree in a related technical field or combination of training and experience deemed appropriate for the role.

Minimum 5 years planning experience in a related industrial role.

Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
