Genmec ACL is looking for a: Yard/Shop Personal

Job Purpose:

We are currently seeking an experienced Yard/ Shop Personal to join our team. This position, will be responsible for and coordinates with all Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
This is position is Monday – Friday, some weekends may be required. The hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position is overtime eligible.
Key Responsibilities:

• Keep Yard organized and clean and general housekeeping duties within the shop & yard

• Inventory all equipment and fittings

• Put together equipment and material orders from inventory and prepare to load on trucks for upcoming jobs

• Pressure wash equipment

- Parts runs - pickup and delivery as required

• Inventory all equipment and stock

• Forklift load & unload, assist with shipping & receiving various equipment

• Move Heavy Equipment (Skid Steer, Loader, Trucks, etc.) around the yard and in/out of the shop

• Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn

• Effective communication skills, in person and in writing

• Ability to shift roles and prioritize as necessary

• Efficiently work alone, in a team and under supervision

• Motivated, accountable

• Attention to detail and time management

• Servicing and maintaining skid steers, trailers, large water pumping equipment, heavy-duty equipment, light automotive, track machines and ATVs

• Keep informed of changes to industry standards

• Verify repairs and ensure they are completed and documented

• Responsible for daily job communications and documentation

• Ability to use power tools

Qualifications:

• - Prior experience in managing a fleet and performing minor maintenance activities on light -medium duty trucks and equipment.
• Mechanically inclined
• Prior experience and knowledge in shop or yard activities is required
• String verbal communication skills
• Good management & organizational skills
• Minimum of a class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract.
• Prior experience or willingness to maneuver and pull trailers.
• Ability to lift, push, pull or drag up to 100 lbs.
• Experience working with Fleet Management software and Microsoft Office.
• Flexible and adaptable to rapid change.

Safety Certification:

• First Aid/CSTS or CSO

• Forklift Training and or Certification

• Work Hub Orientation

• Any client specific required courses

• Other courses as deemed necessary

Working Conditions:
This position requires significant time spent on-site in various locations, often in outdoor and variable weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Applicant should be able to work long hours and weekends as required, and

• Ability to successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to frequently handle and lift 50lbs

• Ability to pass a medical fit exam

• Physical stamina and strength to perform rigorous activities during working hours

• Ability to navigate and operate safely in a construction site environment, which may include heights, confined space, and uneven surfaces.

• Must be able to work various locations
