Role Overview:
Genus PLC has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Sales Technician to join our team. This position is out of Woodstock, Ontario. The Sales Technician plays a critical role in providing technical knowledge, advice, and support during the sales process, helping sales representatives, resellers, and customers resolve technical issues and maximize the benefits derived from our products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical assistance and support for our products and services during the sales process.

Act as a primary technical point of contact and build strong relationships with customers and partners.

Develop and execute strategies for new business development, including direct semen sales and breeding route development.

Maintain accurate customer information in CRM and manage sales reporting.

Evaluate market penetration opportunities and compete effectively in the market.

Manage personal expenses, inventory, accounts receivable, and company assets efficiently.

Ensure timely communication and maintain professional relationships through respectful interactions.

Uphold Genus core values, mission, and vision.

Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.

Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree or Associate's degree in Agribusiness or related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in insemination and sales.

Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.

Strong technical skills and ability to explain complex information clearly.

Ability to travel up to 90% as required.
