Position: Supply Chain Specialist / Purchasing & Supply Administrator
Location: Richmond Hill (On-site role)
Job Description:
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the company's supply chain operations to ensure seamless, efficient, and cost-effective processes from vendor negotiations to product delivery. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and services, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the on-time delivery of products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order Management:
- Control and issue all purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding purchase orders.
- Coordinate and expedite shipments.
- Liaise with couriers, freight forwarders, and custom brokers to support import and export processes.
- Obtain and review freight costs; negotiate quotes and rates.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable for timely vendor payments.
- Prepare and maintain reports, lists, checklists, and other shipping documents.
- Receiving Shipments:
- Process and manage incoming shipments as required.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Collaborate with the Warehouse team to ensure proper placement and labeling of products.
- Manage warehouse space effectively, making adjustments as necessary.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and reorder as necessary.
- Inventory Management:
- Perform regular inventory counts and ensure stock levels are accurate.
- Communicate potential shortages to the purchasing department promptly.
- Supply Chain Optimization:
- Analyze supply chain processes and recommend improvements.
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance to ensure they meet required standards.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with both internal policies and external regulations related to supply chain activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supply chain or logistics role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
