We're on the lookout for a talented Marketing Coordinator to join our team for an exciting 9-week position funded by Canada Summer Jobs. As a key player in our organization dedicated to empowering underrepresented women through sports, you'll wield your creativity and digital savvy to shape our online presence and foster community engagement.

In this role, you'll be the creative force behind our marketing efforts, crafting compelling content that resonates with our audience. Armed with your keen eye for storytelling and proficiency in visual design tools like Photoshop and Canva Pro, you'll bring our brand to life across social media platforms. From capturing the exhilarating moments at our events to curating captivating Instagram stories, your work will inspire and connect with women across the sports community.

But it doesn't stop there. As a Marketing Coordinator at KORAA, you'll be at the forefront of digital trends, staying ahead of the curve with your deep understanding of TikTok culture. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging and visually appealing content for social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos at events and activities using a professional or digital camera.
  • Edit and enhance photos using Photoshop and create graphics using Canva Pro.
  • Stay abreast of current TikTok trends and incorporate them into marketing strategies.
  • Assist with audio/visual production, including recording and editing podcasts, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Manage and maintain social media accounts, including posting updates, responding to inquiries, and monitoring engagement.
  • Multitask effectively to meet deadlines and deliverables, such as posting captivating Instagram stories while capturing professional photos.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Utilize website creation tools like Wix to update and maintain the organization's website.
  • Attend scheduled sessions in Cambridge on Sundays from 6-8pm, Hamilton on Tuesdays from 7-8pm, and Waterloo on Wednesdays from 7-9pm. And all drop-in programming.

Qualifications:

  • Must have access to a professional or digital camera.
  • Ability to attend all sessions in person, including those scheduled on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
  • Access to a car and/or a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Canva Pro for photo editing and graphic design.
  • Strong awareness of TikTok trends and social media platforms.
  • Experience with audio/visual production and/or podcasting.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to stay on track of deliverables.
  • Familiarity with website creation tools like Wix or similar platforms.

Note: This is a temporary position funded by Canada Summer Jobs and is open to youth aged 15 to 30 years old who are legally entitled to work in Canada. The successful candidate must meet the eligibility criteria set by Canada Summer Jobs.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
