Plumber and Gasfitter

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Plumber / Gasfitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

The ideal candidate will need to know the basics of heating equipment in homes and small commercial properties.

**Duties:**

- Read blueprints and follow state and local building codes

- Install pipes and fixtures such as sinks and toilets

- Repair or replace broken drainage lines

- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, bend, and thread pipes

- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems

**Qualifications:**

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

- Mechanical knowledge for understanding plumbing systems

- Ability to read blueprints for planning pipe installations

- Experience with HVAC systems is a plus

- Proficiency in using hand tools for plumbing tasks

- Carpentry skills to build supports for pipes if needed

- Welding skills to join pipes when necessary

- Ability to maintain plumbing systems efficiently
