Specification Sales Rep - Southwest Ontario

Job Description:

Medgar Lighting and Controls Inc. is currently seeking a Specification Sales Representative for our South Western Ontario (Woodstock – Windsor) trade area. The successful candidate will drive lighting and controls specifications through engagement with the South West Ontario specification community. The successful candidate will develop and execute on strategic market plans to achieve long-term sales growth with our lighting and controls products.

Job Duties:

- Build strong, lasting business relationships with key decision makers (architects, electrical engineers, interior designers, end users) in the SW Ontario specification community

- Become an expert in our portfolio of lighting and lighting controls brands and be able to provide solutions to our customers

- Meet or exceed sales targets for lighting, controls & electrical products

- Develop strategic market plans that generate new accounts and drive incremental sales at existing accounts

- Maintain an entrepreneurial sales approach to generate interest in our lighting, controls & electrical products

- Provide product training on key products for strategic channel influencers and decision makers.

- Maintain accurate and up to date records and reports regarding sales and operation information

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience

- Experience in lighting or electrical products sales will be considered an asset

- Technical aptitude to understand and sell lighting controls solutions

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

- Willingness to travel, both within the appointed sales territory and to manufacturers locations for product training and specifier events

- Preferred position location is in the Kitchener/Waterloo/London areas

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
