We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Vaughan office (or Toronto office).

Responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions, journal entries, accruals, pre-paid, budgeting and forecasting. Work with external auditors, perform analysis of financials, period end and ad-hoc reports and other duties as may be assigned.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements for assigned departments and offices,
  • ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordinate and post journal entries for various transactions, including prepaids, accruals,
  • and adjusting entries, with a clear understanding of the sub-ledger and general ledger
  • relationship.
  • Generate detailed month-end financial, statistical, and ad-hoc reports, ensuring accuracy and
  • timeliness.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analysis of assigned accounts (Balance Sheet and
  • Income Statement), verifying that transactions are posted to the correct GL accounts and
  • periods, including reconciliation of prepaids and accruals.
  • Provide crucial support during month-end and year-end close processes, including
  • reconciliations, variance analysis, and GL adjustments.
  • Assist in preparing tax filings for entities and partners
  • Support the annual budgeting process by preparing schedules, analyzing variances, and
  • collaborating with departments to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and maintain relevant schedules
  • Prepare cash flow reports and assist with treasury functions, including managing payments
  • and cash forecasting.
  • Provide assistance during the annual external audit, including documentation gathering and
  • supporting the audit team.
  • Contribute to other finance and accounting-related tasks as needed.


What you'll bring:

  • Accounting diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position;
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CA etc.), an asset;
  • Proven success in working in a fast-pasted environment;
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel in particular;
  • Close attention to detail and ability to quickly identify problems and provide solutions;
  • Experience with accounting software.
