Miller Tree is located in Campbellville, 10 mins from Hwy 6 along the Hamilton boundary. We are in close proximity to Hamilton, Guelph, Burlington and Milton.

We are actively recruiting Qualified Utility Arborists to work on Various Line Clearing Contracts in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton.

Utility Arborists are responsible for pruning and clearing any vegetation which is in close proximity to energized electrical equipment. Pruning and removing trees which could potentially come in contact with power lines.

To be considered for an interview candidates must have their 444B Utility Arborist Certificate or their 5 Day Utility Line Clearing Proficiency Training. Please do not apply for the Utility Arborist Position if you are not a qualified Utility Arborist.

We specialize in all forms or tree removals and provide ongoing training. We operate new aerial trucks and have a diverse fleet of equipment to aid in different types of tree removals. We have many opportunities for career advancement.

We are looking to hire a Utility Arborist to work with our team in a variety of settings. Duties will vary by the type of work being done at each given site.

Your responsibilities will include removing tree branches, brush, and logs using multiple tools including but not limited to chippers chainsaws, trimmers.

Daily equipment maintenance is the responsibility of all team members to ensure all equipment is maintained and any deficiencies are immediately addressed and reported to management.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Use hand and power tools such as chippers, chainsaws, trimmers, etc. to cut and trim brush and logs
  • Climb trees to remove limbs/brush
  • Responsible for the safe operation of bucket trucks to trim, remove, and service trees
  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment such as skid steers, Kubota loaders, stumpers and other equipment to perform daily tasks

Employment Requirements

  • 444B Certification or 5 day Line Clearing Proficiency
  • Arborist training and past work experience as an Arborist
  • Valid DZ License
  • Chainsaw Certification
  • A reliable means of transportation to get to our yard or jobsite
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to work and learn everyday
  • Punctuality
  • A positive attitude and commonsense
  • Must be okay working outside year round.
  • Past work experience in a supervisory role is considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

  • 10 hour shift
