GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Plant Manager, The Warehouse Manager is a member of the Plant Operations Team and is responsible for the effective and efficient receipt and storage of material into the plant, the efficient distribution of product to all warehouse locations and the safe and proper warehousing of product. Their duties include ensuring that processes are established and entrenched to ensure a safe, efficient, smooth-running production environment.

The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairing of machinery, tools and other equipment used in the manufacturing process. They will collect statistics and maintain budgets to help make decisions about how production processes can be made more efficient.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Supervise daily operations of material handling, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, and customer service. Direct and oversee receiving process.

· Manage team schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize overtime.

· Provide leadership and supervision to staff to ensure safe and efficient work practices.

· Conduct regular inspections of equipment and oversee maintenance as needed.

· Ensure accurate inventory counts and maintain product quality during storage.

· Ensure staging of materials is accurate and on time.

· Collaborate with operations leads to analyze productivity and develop loss prevention strategies.

· Collaborate with other leaders on weekly manufacturing schedules and material procurement.

· Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment, selection, and training processes.

· Develop and execute capital plans for respective areas.

· Participate in health and safety committees.

Maintains product and process database in ModPro (company ERP system).

· Compliance with Modus policies

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· · Conduct studies and implement programs to determine optimum inventory levels for production and to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resources.

· Determine human resource and skill requirements and develop training programs.

· Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs.

· Implement safety measures, including securing the warehouse at the end of shifts.

· Assist in developing weekly production schedules.

· Plan, direct and participate, when applicable, in day-to-day work activities to ensure that established goals and objectives are met.

· Work closely with purchasing department to secure profitable material acquisition and ensure materials and equipment conform to set standards.

· Enforce and ensure compliance to Health & Safety and Work practices.

· Enforce equipment maintenance schedule and advise when repairs are required.

· Conduct quarterly inventory audits; implement cycle inventory counts as required.

· Review and implement KANBAN where opportunities present themselves.

· Attend monthly Safety Meetings

· Ability to report on the efficiency and utilization metrics in the business.

· Participate in inspections when given the chance.

· Report all incidents at the time of incident.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum Education: 2-year diploma in Logistics, Operations Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

· Minimum Experience: 5 years of recent and relevant experience in a similar role.

· Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing capable

· Strong analytical skills

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Takes initiative.

· Relevant technological knowledge

· Ability to lead and work independently.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Microsoft Office capable

· Ability to interpret Blueprints.

· Ability to work with all levels of the organization with high levels of integrity, tact and maturity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
