Who We’re Looking For

As the Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving Nanoleaf’s growth by expanding our current business with major retail and working with leadership to help the VP of Business Development build out new business verticals. You will be responsible for helping to manage and growing relationships with our largest and most strategic clients, to achieve revenue targets and ensuring we are a top-of-mind brand in these channels. You will also work with BD leaders to cultivate new business verticals that are budding and expanding the business.

What You’ll Do

National Accounts Strategy:

At Nanoleaf we empower each person in the organization to be an innovative leader that can drive impact both internally and externally. As we grow our reach nationally, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Dev Sales Manager to join our passionate team.

You will assist the Sales Team Leads to run the e-commerce and retail business by forecasting, data analytics, product pitching and working with our Research and Development teams to define the future of our products.

You will meet regularly with key partners externally to ensure there is always alignment on business performance and mutually beneficial initiatives such as cross category, off shelf and partnership opportunities. Perform regular business reviews which includes new item placement, optimizing assortment, shelf merchandising, promotion planning, retail pricing, and supply chain process improvements.

Most importantly, your modus operandi is “have a blast and get it done”! You’ll need to be an agile team member who can bring solutions and creative thinking to the table to close deals and run the business efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales team to build and maintain strong relationships with key partners. Understand each partners unique needs and challenges and provide top level service and partnership
  • Understand data and pull insights on our current business performance to create sustainable growth
  • Meet on a regular cadence with Nanoleaf team leads and their support teams to ensure the business is running smoothly to create unique value to our partners and growth in topline metrics

:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets for each account.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze results, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure success.
  • Identify new opportunities/ partners that align with our overall company OKRs for growing topline rev. and bottom-line profitability
  • Optimize channels to reduce overall costs, returns and trade spend
  • Identify gaps in the business (Revenue gaps, product gaps, placement gaps, partnerships, etc..) and propose well thought strategies to close these gaps with supporting business plans
  • Ensure proposed initiatives and programs have a net positive ROI, providing value to the brand overall
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams including marketing, finance, supply chain, product development, etc. to ensure accounts exceed KPIs and maintain positive returns. Work internally to build out unique value propositions for the Nanoleaf brand and stay relevant to the competition.
  • On an ongoing basis you will collect and share market information and important data points to internal teams, ensuring that we keep ahead of the curve in product development, placement and changes in market trends.

Requirements:

  • Consistent track record for setting sales targets, executing across multiple teams, and finding solutions to roadblocks
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics, creating actionable strategies and pivoting to ensure targets are hit
  • You have extensive experience building strong relationships in tech, retail, or commerce
  • Support the sales team on managing internal and external channels
  • Previous work experience working with major retail, understanding onboarding, daily management and running individual P/L for accounts
  • Experience working collaboratively with Marketing, PR, Supply Chain and Operations teams.
  • Team player who has mastered fostering a collaborative culture and motivating their peers
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field

Preferred:

  • Post Graduate degree preferred; MBA, Masters in management, etc..
  • Previous work in CPG or tech hardware company an asset
  • Understanding of financial statements plus
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Microsoft BI )

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,987.00-$84,239.00 per year
