The People Experience Generalist (HR Generalist) is an essential member of our People Experience (HR) department. They will have a wide range of human resources duties as it relates to policies, processes, procedures, and programs. They will be looked upon to provide great customer service, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in the dealings you have with team members and candidates.

Excellent consultative, presentation skills and proven success developing strong, collaborative relationships across multiple departments and levels.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
Professionalism, with ability to maintain confidential information and a positive "can-do" attitude.
Works independently as well as with a team.
Use judgment to identify the most appropriate solution from several options using prior knowledge and experience since problems or situations are different and require interpretation.
Responsibilities and objectives are assigned with considerable freedom for decision making using technical or experiential knowledge and company standards. Work may be periodically reviewed according to achievement of predefined goals.
Has the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
The Must Haves
A diploma in Human Resources, Business or a related field preferred
Must have 1 – 3 years experience as a HR Generalist supporting a high volume of employees
The ability to travel within Canada
Understanding of BC legislation
Things You Will be Doing
Works in partnership with management on various employment matters including performance management issues, employee inquiries or complaints, conduct investigations and processes terminations.
Maintains and coordinates NRI’s safety program as needed. Chairs the monthly safety meetings.
Coordinates and facilitates new-hire orientation and maintains accurate and up to date employee personnel files.
Maintain required documentation, including electronic documentation, supporting affirmative action, leaves of absence, attendance, vacation, and positive performance.
Coordinates social responsibility and employee events.
Administers benefit program and provides training and education for NRI employees.
Manages recruitment activities; screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone, virtual or in person), set up interviews with hiring managers, make offers and coordinate pre-screening.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all activities and records.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
