We are currently seeking Tower Crane Riggers to assist our tower crane operators. This position will report into the Site Superintendent.

Responsibilities/Duties
Follow safe work procedures to assist the tower crane operator with lifting, lowering, or moving materials and loads.
Understand lifting and load bearing capacities of the tower crane.
Securing loads with suitable lifting equipment.
Communicate with operator via two-way radio and/or hand signals.
Signal and direct trucks on site for loading and offloading.
Inspecting rigging equipment.
Rig in decks and fly tables.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Fluent in English is a must
Authorization to work in Canada.
Good vision.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge of hand signals and radios.
Excellent communication in English required.
Good math skills.
Safe work ethic.
Working Conditions
Working at heights.
Work weeks are typically 6 days per week Monday to Saturday (10-12 hours per day).
7:00 am start but can vary from site to site.
Two paid 15 minutes breaks and one ½ hour unpaid lunch break per day.
Exposure to cold/hot weather. Appropriate dress required for weather conditions.
Exposure to noise, dust, pollution.
Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, sharp hand tools.
Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time.
Manual dexterity.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Educational Requirements
WHMIS 2015 (can provide).
Fall Protection (can provide).
Rigging Course (can provide).
Tower crane apprenticeship (preferred but not required)
