We’re hiring a visionary Director of Design to lead a team in creating user-centric designs for two of our core products, Client Gallery and Store. In collaboration with our Director of Product and Director of Engineering, you will shape the future of our platform, integrating cutting-edge design with innovative features to redefine industry standards.

Pixieset is the market leader in software for photography businesses. As we expand our market presence and product suite, we're looking to scale our Design leadership to drive the next phase of our growth.

Your Impact

  • Lead the development and execution of the UX design strategy and vision to deliver outstanding user experiences across our entire product portfolio
  • Manage and inspire a high-performing design team, fostering a collaborative culture while providing mentorship and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leaders to align design efforts and drive product development
  • Own the design process and implement best practices to ensure the highest level of design quality
  • Develop and uphold design standards and systems for consistency and quality
  • Conduct user research, testing, and feedback to inform design decisions and ensure products meet user needs
  • Utilize customer feedback, data analytics, and research to gain insights, identify product design opportunities, and improve the overall user experience

Role Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in Product Design
  • 3 years of experience managing a Design team
  • Product Design experience in an agile environment, specifically focused on designing SaaS products for SMB / consumers
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design principles, interaction design, visual design, and design thinking
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for developing and leading a team
  • Opinionated stance on Design and deeply committed to crafting exceptional user experiences
  • Committed to being hands-on - investing time in our products, actively working on concepts, and collaborating closely with designers in Figma
  • Strong sense of ownership - acting as the driving force behind the speed and quality of deliverables

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $171,000 - $236,250 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
