Responsibilities
- Liaise directly with our key stakeholders to understand business needs and provide suitable analytical solutions.
- Enhance our suite of reports to align with modern tools and data practices.
- Develop continuous improvement solutions to automate, consolidate, or discontinue processes, with a focus on business value & efficiency.
- Build robust documentation practices across all analytical products.
- Manage multiple simultaneous data analytics/ Automation projects within assigned time and budget.
- Comply fully with all privacy, confidentiality, do not contact, SLF Code of Business Conduct, data security, SLF End User Computing and other requirements related to customer data
Qualifications
- Ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and adapt the approach when dealing with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-directed and proactive; thinking beyond the immediate problem with ability to analyze situations/problems systematically and deliver effective right-sized solutions in a timely manner.
- Ability to manage In-depth prioritization, planning, and change management processes to stay within time/scope of a task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to break down high-level data into easily communicated information.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen with an eye for detail and accuracy
What you will need to succeed:
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a Data Analyst or Performance Analyst role
- 2 - 3 years of experience in Python/R/SAS for developing analytics led solutions.
- 2 - 3 years’ experience working with visualization tools e.g. Tableau.
- Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visual Basic
- Proven ability to help drive large and strategic projects from concept to implementation that span multiple systems and business processes.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, best practices, and data governance
- Excellent communication skills to drive a data-driven culture and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Superior organizational skills, including process management to support workflow improvements.
- Undergraduate in Business, Statistics, Computer Science (or equivalent university degree or college diploma)
- Past experience in life insurance/wealth management, or other financial services industry is an asset (e.g., retail banking, credit card, property and casualty insurance)
